How to get started, common Q & A’s
-
✺How do I start?
Contact me via email. I’m happy to correspond electronically, that will be easier given I’m located in Hawaii using HST.
-
✺What do you need to know?
Some information in your email to start off might include, how many photo’s are you considering having edited? What, if anything you want to improve upon. I realize you may have different issues with different pictures so we can setup a zoom call or just a phone call to discuss your objectives.
-
✺Do you offer a free consulation?
Yes, I’m happy to discuss your objectives in order to meet your goals when it comes to editing your photo’s. I provide a free initial consultation, up to 30 minutes. For this to be successful, an email before hand with some images, pertinent info/goals/known issues would be helpful to me and faciliate a smooth meeting on the phone or a zoom call.
-
✺Do I need to give you a deposit?
Yes, once we agree upon a Pro-package to edit your images I require a 25% deposit of the total, not including tax that is applied toward your end purchase. If things fall apart or some other oddity, the deposit is non-refundable for my time put into the project and to keep everyone on the up and up. I take all forms of electronic payment so that should be an easy transaction.
-
✺What happens to my finished pictures?
Great question. It is agreed upon that I (Peckphotographyart LLC) will not sell or distribute any or your images, either in the original form or my edited version to the public or otherwise to anyone other than you the client or deemed respresentative.
I do ask for rights to use your images on my website or other advertising to illustrate the before and or after versions. If you do not wish to allow this right, please tell me in writing and I will delete all of your pictures upon the conclusion of our contract and will of course respect that decision of privacy.
-
✺When is payment expected?
The deposit is expected once we agree on the work you want to have done. Once the photos are finalized, and you are ready to receive them, payment is expected in full prior to uploading your finalized digital copies. You will have had an opporunity to see what the pics look like prior to the final upload/download on your end as drafts.
-
How soon do I get my finalized pictures?
A super question! Depending upon the size of the Pro-package I have listed the approximate times you might expect a finalized delivery below. This time frame of course is dependent upon you approving drafts and or getting back to me on what changes you might want/need. With my time zone, it could delay things a day in reality.
Maui Essential Pro- 2-3 days
Maui Green Sea turtle Pro- 3-5 days
Maui Humpback whale Pro- 5- 7 days
-
Would you edit just a few pictures?
Yes, if time permits I would be happy to help you out with a special image including a time constraint that might want something the next day or faster than a few days. Just le me know, I’m all about helping folks out. Realize there may be a fee incurred depeding upon variables, or not. Just email or text me. Either way, I would price a small job according to anticipated time and difficulty.

Do I need a large digital image to make it worth my time?
Really great question! Most cell phones today take very good images in general to be edited as well as prosumer cameras (very popular mid grade cameras with fixed lenses). Professional grade cameras, with removable lenses will be able to capture a large image and hence will allow for the most dynamic changes. So while your photo may not be top of the line, it may get you a stunning 5×7 and that might be all you want. In general, the smaller the file size, the smaller the image will need to be if you plan on printing it without having it become blurry or not clear for example. If in doubt, I can take a quick look and give you my opinion but a broad view is most images can be modified and improved upon to varying degrees, it all comes down to how big you want it printed in the end. Hope that helps.
